Preferences, in Veneto good statement by councilor Donazzan
In Veneto Fratelli d’Italia confirms, and indeed strengthens its primacy, the Carroccio drops further in percentages, but still leaves Forza Italia behind; the Democratic Party remains the second largest party in the region, up compared to two years ago. The Green Left Alliance does well and further collapse of the 5 Star Movement. Action surpasses the United States of Europe, but the sum of the “centrist” lists loses 4 percentage points compared to two years ago. Giorgia Meloni’s party obtains 37.59% of the votes, and is still growing compared to the elections of two years ago, where it obtained 32.7%; not comparable, for obvious reasons, to the 6.76% of the previous European ones, which appear a political season away.
Among the candidates, after the obvious prevalence of Giorgia Meloni, with 227,469 votes, excellent statement by Elena Donazzanregional councilor for Labour, which is close to 60 thousand preferences, followed by Sergio Berlato, outgoing MEP, with 37,842 votes. The Democratic Party remains around the percentage of the previous European ones, with 18.87%, but grows in the 2022 elections (16.3%) and confirms itself as the second Venetian political force, “driven” by Stefano Bonaccini, with over 78 thousand preferences; the outgoing one did well Alessandra Moretti (57,033) and Alessandro Zan, with around 50 thousand votes.
