Bologna, 10 June 2024 – Shooting last night, around 10.30pm, in via Audinot, in the historic center. The victim, a 20-year-old Italian boy of foreign origins, was hit by a bullet in the back. His condition immediately seemed very serious: he was transported in maximum severity code to the Maggiore hospital by the 118 health workers who arrived on site with an ambulance.
He is currently hospitalized in intensive care department with a reserved prognosis. It is not yet clear – Mobile officers are investigating the case – what the motive behind the shooting was. The shooter fled immediately after the events, losing track of him. To alert the police it was some residents of the area who, according to what was reported to the officers, shortly before the attack heard some young people arguing.
From the testimonies collected up to this moment, therefore, it would appear that there were more people present in Via Audinot last night. The twenty-year-old, with no criminal record, he then dragged himself to Via Sant’Isaia where he was then rescued by 118. Investigations have already begun by the Flying Squad which, also by viewing the footage from the video surveillance cameras in the area, will attempt to trace the identity of the attacker. The officers, meanwhile, inspected the area of via Audinot they found a shell casing presumably attributable to last night’s shooting.
