In none of the 23 sections does the voting exceed 50%.
Conversano – Two incontrovertible data in the Conversano vote: the percentage of voters below 50% (42.55%) and the result of the Democratic party (53.18%) carried away by the effect Decaro which led the left, center and right to concentrate their vote on the now former mayor of Bari.
The PD received 53.18% of the votes against 19.88% of the party of Giorgia Meloni. Entire parts of the majority that supports the mayor voted for the PD Lovascio, councilors and the mayor himself. But the vote for the Democrats was the result of a personal consensus of the new MEP who came from the most varied political-cultural areas.
In Puglia the PD’s figure was 33.57% against 26.95% of Fratelli d’Italia, while in the province of Bari the Democrats received 45.65% of support against 23.63% of Meloni’s party. Therefore the percentage of the PD in Conversano far exceeds that of Puglia and the province of Bari itself.
The other political forces stood at limited percentages, the M5S stopped at 8.90%, Forza Italia at 4.33%, Greens and Left Alliance at 3.87%, the League at 3.11%, United States of Europe (Socialists, Italia Viva e, +Europa and radicals) at 2.24%, the party of Santoro at 1.90%, Calenda action at 1.48%.
The abstention figure remains in Conversano (in Puglia and Italy) which, despite the mobilization of entire parts of the city for Decaro, did not even manage to exceed 50%.
A fact that will have to make the parties and movements of Conversano think long and hard in view of the next electoral appointment to which the city will be called: the municipal elections of September 2025 or spring 2026. The story will certainly be different, and the sides will have to reposition themselves. Especially the PD which since its birth (2008) has not yet won the elections in the city.
