Lonato del Garda (BS) – The platforms of the Concaverde Trap in Lonato del Garda (BS), ready for the ISSF World Cup which will begin on Tuesday 11 June, hosted the 3rd Fossa Olimpica Grand Prix of the 2024 season. The winner in the top category ranking was Emanuele Buccolieri (Fiamme Oro). The policeman from San Pancrazio Salentino (BR) first earned a pass to the final with 122/125 +5 and once the race towards the podium began he never stopped. With his head down, target after target, he surpassed all his opponents by a wide margin and deserved the gold with 43/50. Mauro De Filippis, also a Fiamme Oro representative and from Puglia from Taranto, was able to do little in the final thanks to a 121/125 in the qualifiers and a +16 in the challenging entry play-off. With 42/50 he had to settle for the silver medal. However, Marco Benedetti from Fiumicino (RM) took bronze in his race, after having signed the best score of the day with 123/125, he stopped on the third step of the podium in the final with 33/40.

3rd TRAP GP – Excellence Podium

Among the Ladies, Alessandra Della Valle (Fiamme Azzurre) from Solaro (MI) prevailed. In the final with 114/125 (+7), the representative of the Penitentiary Police passed all the preliminaries until she dueled with Isabella Cristiani (Navy) from San Giuliano Terme (PI) for gold and silver. The two shooters did not hold back until they were equal with 42/50. In the play-off, Della Valle “smoked” her target and won the gold while Cristiani let him escape and she had to settle for the silver. Silvana Maria Stanco (Fiamme Gialle) from Sturno (AV) also reached the Lonate podium, bronze medal with 118/125 in qualification and 32/40 in the final.

3rd GP TRAP – Ladies podium

Among the male Juniors, the gold goes to the neck of Luca Gerri (Fiamme Oro) from Erbusco (BS). For him the satisfaction was double. In addition to the joy of having reached the top of the podium thanks to the 121/155 +3 in the qualifications and the impressive 48/50 in the final, the young representative of the State Police, who grew up as a sportsman right on the platforms of Lona, enjoyed the victory on the home platforms. Matteo D’Ambrosi (Fiamme Azzurre) from Sarno (SA) took silver with 121/125 +2 and 43/50 in the final, while the bronze medal was deserved by Cosimo Luca Salinaro from San Donaci (BR) with 119/ 125 and 34/40.

3rd TRAP GP – Junior Podium

Finally, for the Junior Female sector, Maria Teresa Giorgia Maccioni (Carabinieri) from Villagrande Strisalli (NU) dominated the race. The young Sardinian shooter had no rivals. First in qualifying with 114/125, she also won the final. She concluded the regulation throws with a score of 42/50, tied with Sofia Gori (Marina Militare) of Forlimpopoli (FC), qualified for the decisive series with 110/125. The two shooters faced each other with determination, but Maccioni prevailed with +2 and forced Gori to silver with +1. With them on the podium also Camilla Stella Piazza from Genoa.
