Rome, 8 June. (askanews) – Four Israeli hostages held captive by Hamas were rescued alive by Jewish state troops “in a daring operation” in the central area of ​​the Gaza Strip. The Israeli army announced it.

The rescued hostages are Noa Argamani, Almog Meir Jan, Andrey Kozlov and Shlomi Ziv. All four were kidnapped by terrorists from the Palestinian Islamic fundamentalist movement on October 7 during the Supernova music festival, near the southern community of Reim.

Israeli special forces simultaneously raided two Hamas sites in central Gaza, Nuseirat. In one place, Argamani was rescued, while Meir Jan, Kozlov and Ziv were in the second “reclaimed” site.

The rescued hostages are all in good condition, according to initial medical assessments. They were taken to Tel Hashomer Hospital for further evaluation. Among the rescued hostages is a man with dual Russian and Israeli citizenship, Andrey Kozlov, who worked as a security guard at the Supernova festival, a rave event, on October 7. During the operation, heavy air strikes were launched in the area against Hamas sites and in support of ground troops.
