Everything is ready for the third edition of the “Challenge Filippo Mondelli”, an online promotional event for Indoor Rowing which will be held from 10 to 16 June. The entire proceeds of the event will be donated to the fight against cancer, honoring the memory of Filippo Mondelli.

Naming of the Barracks

In parallel to this initiative, on 18 June, the Tenenza barracks of the Guardia di Finanza of Sabaudia will be named after the financier Filippo Mondelli. This recognition, which comes in the year of celebrations for the 250th anniversary of the founding of the Corps, highlights the importance of Filippo’s contribution, both as an athlete and as a soldier, during his service from 2018 to 2021.

Challenge details

The challenge invites everyone to compete for research, challenging themselves on the rowing ergometer on a maximum distance of one minute. Thanks to the patronage of the Italian Rowing Federation and the support of Concept 2 Italia, participation is simple: just register via the link and make a minimum donation of 10 euros: Filippo Mondelli Challenge Registration.

Donation Management

The donations will be managed by the Social Promotion Association “IO SONO FILIPPO APS”, established by the will of Filippo’s family. The association is involved in organizing beneficial events in the area.

Prizes and stays in Sabaudia

This year, thanks to the collaboration of some hotels in Sabaudia, four weekends and a week’s stay in the City of Dunes will be raffled off among all those registered and donors.

To participate in the draw for stays it is not necessary to take the rowing test, but registration via the link and donation is mandatory.
