The 2023/24 season had an unexpected and rather traumatic evolution, with Lazio eliminated in the Champions League round of 16, qualifying for the next Europa League only on the last day and forced to make sudden changes in technical management.
Statistics in hand, in 2019/20 Simone Inzaghi ended his “Lazio” stay by branding his last season with the record for appearances on the blue and white bench, previously held by Dino Zoff, reaching the notable record of 251 overall benches.
Despite his resignation during the course of the work, Maurizio Sarri still managed this year, as coach of Lazio, to enter the “Top 10” of this special ranking, having reached 137 appearances for the blue and white and surpassed Zdenek Zeman (118), Mario Sperone (128) and Edoardo Reja (131).
