Baroni is the new coach of Lazio

All that’s missing is the official status but it now seems certain. Will be Marco Baroni the new coach of Lazio. This is the technical choice made by the Biancoceleste president Claudio Lotito after the separation with Igor Tudor. The latter decided to say goodbye to Lazio due to strong differences on transfer strategies. The agreement between the former technical guide of Verona and the sporting director Angelo Fabiani has been found. Only a few details remain to be ironed out.

The contract, reports Sportmediaset.itwill be biennial with an option for the third year for an annual sum of one and a half million euros. We will have to wait a few more days for the official announcement. In fact, Baroni still has to free himself from his former team. At the same time it is necessary to wait for Lotito’s arrival in Rome: Lazio’s number 1 is currently involved in the electoral campaign for the European elections.

Not everyone in the Biancoceleste team is satisfied with Baroni’s arrival. Definitely critical are the fans who on social media expressed their disappointment at the choice of Tudor’s replacement, despite the good work done in Verona. Perhaps someone had believed in the rumors that had circulated in recent days regarding a bench entrusted to Max Allegri or a possible Sarri-bis. None of this.

Despite the announced farewells of Felipe Anderson, Luis Alberto And Kamada no revolution is foreseen in the Biancoceleste home. Yesterday Lotito spoke on the coach issue, explaining at Ansa:“Tudor asked us to change eight, too many for a group that we consider to be up to par. But he left a good person, I want to say.” And on Baroni he confirmed: “You will know the new coach soon, we have clear ideas but I haven’t signed any contract yet. What matters is that we will be competitive. We were competitive this year too if we hadn’t lost points to lower-ranking teams like Salernitana. This team deserved more”.
