A motorcyclist who was the victim of a road accident which occurred in via Eschilo, in Carlentini, in the Syracuse area, is hospitalized with a reserved prognosis in Cannizzaro in Catania.
What happened
According to an initial reconstruction, the 28-year-old’s motorbike and a Fiat Punto, driven by a 30-year-old from Lentini, were involved in the impact.
The fight
Initial investigations by the police revealed that the driver of the car was engaged in a manoeuvre, presumably to park, then, for reasons to be ascertained, there was a collision with the motorbike. The 28-year-old, who was treated by 118, was transferred to the Cannizzaro hospital by air ambulance while further investigations are underway.
Fatal accident in the Palermo area
The death toll from yet another serious accident that occurred yesterday in the Palermo area is one person. The collision between a car and a truck. There was nothing that could be done for the motorist. The 118 health workers intervened and rescued the motorist and the firefighters. The accident occurred on state road 118 in the Prizzi area. The investigations are being conducted by the Carabinieri who are trying to trace the responsibilities of the clash.
The driver of a Daihatsu Terios, Dario Mortellaro, 20 years old from Santo Stefano di Quisquina, (Agrigento), lost his life after the impact with a heavy vehicle at the junction for Palazzo Adriano. The firefighters extracted the victim from the cockpit and entrusted him to the 118 paramedics who, however, were only able to confirm his death.
More blood
A few days ago another fatality occurred on via Pietro Bonanno, in Palermo. The one who lost his life was an 18-year-old, Simone Gnoffo. The collision involved two motorbikes, the victim’s Kawasaki and another two-wheeled vehicle, a Motron model. Two other boys were injured in the impact and taken to the nearest hospital to receive initial treatment and related checks.
