Last meetings and appeal of Stefano Belli Franzini. She will run alone to Gussola, but this means nothing. Indeed, it means that she will have to earn her marks on the field. If it were the work done, the love for the municipality, what was brought to Gussola in recent years between tenders, projects, growth, there would be no doubts. And there aren’t any. The driving force of the European elections should do the rest. But going back to the concrete, it will still be essential to go and vote.
“I invite all citizens and fellow citizens on Thursday evening at 8.45pm in the Sala Civica (former Cultural Center) to close this journey together, present the candidates and the program.
I am aware that the presence of only one list in the next local elections partly undermines the democratic comparison between different visions. Unfortunately, this is not our responsibility. I and the group that supports me have chosen to make ourselves available again, to commit ourselves again to the community and to take on responsibilities, trying to give our best as we have done in recent years. Honestly, we must also state that there is no queue to take on the role of public administrator, a role that has become difficult and will become increasingly difficult in the coming years, especially in small municipalities.
For this I sincerely thank those who choose and have chosen to apply, putting their face, their time and passion for their territory.
The single list for Gussola is new, nothing must be taken for granted, nothing is already decided or defined. The presence of only one list requires the participation of you citizens.
I ask you all to make an effort, whatever choice you make in the voting booth. Failure to reach the thresholds indicated by the law would immediately mean the Municipality being placed under commissionership and the blocking of all extraordinary activities, including the difficulty of managing and completing the works already started.
And it would mean throwing away so much work and so many results achieved in recent years. With extreme honesty and seriousness I also say to those who urge them not to vote in the local elections that they are irresponsible. Because failure to reach the double quorum would not be a disgrace to the undersigned, or to the candidates, but would be detrimental to the entire community, its services and its possibility of development and growth.
Instead of boycotting, these people should have put their face to it and run for office, taking on responsibilities and dedicating their time to the community, as we have chosen to do.
The program that our list proposes sees a municipality with increasingly innovative services, dedicated to people from newborns to older fellow citizens.
The objective is to increase interest in our municipality to reverse the phenomenon that is most affecting small towns, namely depopulation.
We are convinced that we can make the most of Gussola by making it increasingly livable and attractive, with an increasingly important role within the Casalasco and OglioPo territories, accompanying it towards 2030.
We wish to give continuity to the paths started with the seriousness, responsibility and determination that have distinguished us in recent years“.
