In the middle of the night the woman, nine months pregnant, realized that the moment of giving birth was coming and so he tried to wake up his partner: “Love, it’s the little girl’s evening”. She called Thomas Gibson, 40, touched him to wake him up but he was “cold and stiff”. The 40-year-old had died in his sleep.

We are in Manchester and the events took place on 7 June 2023 but the causes of death have only now been established. While Rebecca gave birth to the baby, her partner was taken to hospital for an autopsy. According to what is reported by the BBCGibson had gone to the doctor due to a severe stomach ache that had been persecuting him for three weeks. A newly hired doctor had examined him and recognized a potential cardiac anomaly but without asking for further tests. Well, now the Wythenshawe Hospital A&E in Manchester has declared that the anomaly was an artimia which could lead to a sudden cardiac arrest and that the diagnosis was wrong.
