American Airlines: from today the new direct flight Naples-Philadelphia

Philadelphia strengthens its position as a leading destination for leisure and business travel with the introduction of a new direct flight Naples-Philadelphia, daily and seasonal. Starting today, June 6 and until October 2024, American Airlines launches daily non-stop service between Philadelphia International Airport and the city of Naples, boosting the city’s transatlantic connections during the summer season until October 2024.

A period of growth

“There is no doubt: Philadelphia is experiencing a period of growth, both nationally and internationally, both in terms of meetings and leisure travel – he says Gregg Caren, president and CEO of the Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau -. People want to come here, eat in our restaurants, visit museums, admire public artworks and immerse themselves in the city’s history and culture. The timing is ideal for adding new international routes arriving at Philadelphia International Airport, like this one from Naples.”

This expansion is part of American Airlines’ largest transatlantic growth since the start of the pandemic, with new routes also from Philadelphia to Copenhagen and Nice. The new Naples-Philadelphia service reflects the growing demand for travel to the United States from Italy, and is added to the already existing connections from our country: in fact, the city can be reached directly from the airports of Rome (Fiumicino – annual flight) and Venice (seasonal).
