According to the latest survey by the Fuel Observatory of the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy (Mimit), the average cost of petrol dropped to 1.865 euros per litre, with a very slight decrease compared to the previous week. It decreases, albeit slightly in this case too, also diesel, now at 1.771 euros.

The average values shown for petrol and diesel
The data updated to 4 June 2024, processed by Staffetta Quotidiana, attest to the average price of petrol at the self service 1.866 euros per liter (1.869 euros at the companies and 1.860 euros at the white pumps), while the Diesel self fluctuates around 1.714 euros per liter (1.717 euros in companies and 1.708 euros in white pumps).
For what concern servedthe average prices see the petrol at 2.007 euros per litre (2,047 euros in companies and 1,928 euros in pumps without logo), and Diesel at 1,858 euros per litre (1,898 euros and 1,777 euros). The LPG to the served is a 0.710 euros per litre (0.720 euros in companies and 0.698 euros without logo), while the methane it’s at 1,321 euros per kg (1,337 euros in companies and 1,307 euros in white pumps).
And in Europe?
In the ranking of the 27 countries of the European Union, Italy ranks fifth in the scale of the highest average prices. The state where you pay the most is Denmark, with an average price of 2.032 euros/l for petrol and 1.706 euros/l for diesel. Continued Holland (2 euros/l for petrol and 1,696 euros/l for diesel). Third step of the podium for Greece with 1.915 euros/l for petrol and 1.635 euros/l for diesel. There France it is just above Italy with 1,882 euro/l and 1,699 euro/l. The country where you pay the least? In Malta petrol is even at 1,340 euros/l, while diesel at 1,210 euros/l.
