It happened at 10pm last night, in Piazza del Mercato Nuovo in Prato: a report arrived at the police station regarding a woman attacked by a foreign citizen.
Immediately it was the local police force was sent to the scene, with the help of an Army patrol on patrol duty, who tracked down and secured a man, identified as a 25-year-old Senegalese citizen, legal in Italy.
Heard the parties and some witnessesit was ascertained that shortly before a 26-year-old, Italian and resident in Pistoia, had been beaten with a fist by the foreign citizen in question. Lthe attack arose following a disagreement on the price of a sexual service, previously agreed between the two, but not consummated then as the sum that the customer intended to pay was less than the agreed one.
In the argumentthe man, stole the woman’s phone and threatened not to give it back until after the sexual performance.
In order to carry out his actions, he attempted a sexual approach by touching the woman in her private parts despite her clear refusal. Thanks to the providential intervention of the police on the spot, the act was stopped, with the arrest of the perpetrator and the safety of the woman.
