Yesterday morning the Arpac Department of Avellino was activated by the Solofra Carabinieri Company for an emergency intervention in the Municipality of Serino.

In fact, at around 3.30am on 16 June, unknown persons perpetrated a theft from the ATM of the Serino Post Office located in Via Fontanelle using an explosive device which, in addition to blowing up the Postemat, damaged the rooms behind the counter automatic Atm.

Causing the false ceiling panels to collapse which, according to what was declared by the Director of the Post Office, are insulated with asbestos.

For this reason, the manager and technicians of the Territorial Area of ​​the Avellino Department promptly arrived on site and monitored the airborne fibers using the mobile air quality monitoring device located in the square in front of the post office.

Two sampling cycles were carried out, the first yesterday morning and the second in the afternoon. From the analyzes carried out by the Regional Asbestos Laboratory (Arpac department of Salerno) the fibers were found to be lower than the instrumental detection limit.
