There Mercedes-AMG GT3 number 61 of the team Antonelli Motorsport divided by Glenn McGee And Anthony McIntosh concluded the weekend with a double victory Imolaaccording to the appointments of Italian Gran Turismo ChampionshipSprint.

McIntosh, who got into the car during the stops, subsequently remained in the lead until the red flag which definitively stopped everyone just before the scheduled time expired.

In Race 2, on a wet track which then progressively dried out and despite the three-second handicap time, the Antonelli Motorsport team pairing showed once again that they had excellent pace, taking the fourth victory in a row after the two achieved in the Misano opener last May.

Put another way, McGee and McIntosh now continue to lead the GT3 Am standings with a total of 83 points, 22 more than Massimo Ciglia-Luca Magnoni (Honda).

Less luck for the Mercedes-AMG GT3 number 16 Of Gustavo Sandrucci and the 18-year-old rookie Finn Wiebelhaus, who had nevertheless started their weekend impeccably. In fact, the Italian-German duo achieved their first victory of the season on Saturday GT3 Pro-Am.

Although Wiebelhaus was very fast in Q2, scoring a promising eighth place overall, in the second race on Sunday the duo from the Antonelli Motorsport team were however penalized by the adverse weather conditions and finished at the bottom.


The next round of the Italian Gran Turismo Sprint Championship is now scheduled for the end of August, on the weekend of the 24th and 25th, on the Mugello.
