Starting June 3, 2024, Italian post has extended its innovative “Follow me” service to the cities of Pordenone, Udine, Gorizia and Trieste. This service, already appreciated by individuals and companies, allows correspondence sent to the old address to be received at a new address, in the event of a permanent or temporary transfer.
Flexibility for individuals and companies
The “Follow me” service offers considerable flexibility to its users. Customers can choose which type of correspondence to receive at the new address and for how long, with duration options of 3, 6 and 12 months. Furthermore, the service can be extended to cohabitants of the family unit, making mail management easier for the whole family.
Re-forwarding of correspondence
Re-forwarding of correspondence can take place either on a physical address both on one Post office box, in Italy and abroad. This option is particularly useful for those who move temporarily or for extended periods away from their usual home.
Qualified post offices
“Follow me” can be subscribed to 331 authorized post offices of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. The service covers all incoming correspondence, but you can choose to receive only signed correspondence, as recommended and insured.
Online activation
A further convenience offered by Poste Italiane is the possibility of activating the “Follow me” service also online. To do this, just register on the site poste.it and have a SPID enabled PosteID, or a mobile phone certified by the Italian Post Office or an identification document, which must be uploaded to the site. In the case of cohabiting family members, it will also be necessary to complete the form “Family delegation for online activation”, downloadable from the site.
Terms of payment
Payment for the service can be made securely via credit card, PostePay card or BancoPosta account. This variety of payment options makes activating the service simple and accessible to everyone.
