CAMPOBASSO – This morning at the headquarters of the regional council, in Campobasso. The President of the Regional Council of Molise, Francesco Roberti, the director of ASReM, Giovanni Di Santo, the director of 118, Adriana Ricciardi, and the District director, Giovanni Giorgetta, met the mayors of Santa Croce di Magliano, Riccia and Montenero di Bisaccia.

“The objective is to find a solution to the issue and the Molise Region, in concert with Asrem, is working to provide the service, despite the shortage of emergency doctors – stated the President Francesco RobertiToday’s discussion was fruitful, in order to identify a common path.”

On the problem, the Governor and the leaders of Astrem explained that “We are trying in every way to guarantee assistance and certainty of treatment in Molise and that various parameters are being evaluated before any decision. Please note the possible rotation of professionals in the demedicalized stations and a possible different placement of medical vehicles, primarily in Sant’Elia a Pianisi (this also covers Riccia and Santa Croce di Magliano), as well as the renewal of agreements with voluntary associations. It was then reiterated that the ASReM is continuing to carry out the procedures for the recruitment of doctors and that in a few days the training notice for suitability for carrying out territorial health emergency activities will be published, a path which in 2022 will not was followed up due to lack of participants. Finally, remember that the individual 118 stations are not canceled but in this case replaced by the so-called India ambulances with expert nurses on board, who, if necessary, and by virtue of specific protocols, can administer life-saving drugs after authorization from the station operational with which it is possible to connect via dynamic call present on each vehicle”.

The meeting, which was also attended by a nurse from 118, concluded with a commitment to further in-depth analysis at the next mayors’ conference.
