Women’s inline hockey, the Lazio selection powered by CV Skating wins the Regions Trophy

CIVITAVECCHIA – La Lazio Region wins the women’s regional trophy, senior category, of inline hockey. In fact, the competition was held over the weekend at the wonderful “Pardini Center” facility in Lido di Camaiore (LU) and the Lazio Region participated with both the men’s and women’s teams.
The female formation was largely composed of Cv Skating athletesstarting with the coach Martina Gavazzi and passing through the players Veronica Novelli (captain), Laura Giannini, Martina Mori, Gloria Padovan, Desire Capodimonte, Eugenia Pompanin, Giulia Mollica and Eleonora Raia.

A clear path, made up of only victories (3-1 against Lombardy, 1-0 against Piedmont, 4-3 against Veneto and then again 4-1 against Veneto in the final with a brace from Novelli and goals from Giannini and Padovan) which crowns a tournament enjoyed to the fullest by the girls from Lazio. In addition to the Cv Skating athletes, the players Letizia Barocci and Sara Colonnelli from the Genzano Skating Club and Ilaria Chisena from Kemarin were present.

“The girls were very good – says Cv Skating president Riccardo Valentini, on this occasion also delegate for FISR Lazio – they didn’t give up a beat from start to finish, they were always on point and even in the final, once they passed at a disadvantage, they did well to stay energized and focused. Having reached a draw at the end of the first half of the final, they dominated the match in the second half, demonstrating a technical and tactical maturity to be envied and even the very young players were excellent. We deservedly won and I can only be happy about it, both as FISR Lazio and as CV Skating. The center of gravity of inline hockey moves a little further to central Italy with each event. I thank the FISR Lazio and the president Antonio Varacalli for allowing us to experience this beautiful sporting event.”

Nothing to be done for the men’s sector, which exited the groups after clear defeats.
