Some copyright registration documents appear to have revealed the title of the 28 Years Later sequel to be directed by Nia DaCosta.
The sequel to 28 Years Later it seems to have a title and this is revealed by some documents linked to the registration necessary to specify all the details regarding the copyright of the work, whose production is about to begin.
The second chapter of the new trilogy will be directed by Nia DaCosta and the alleged title could reveal some spoilers about the plot.
The first hypotheses on the trilogy
Details appearing online reveal that the next film is expected to be titled 28 Years Later Part II: The Bone Temple. Fans have thus already begun to share their theories and opinions, claiming that a kind of sect was formed after the apocalyptic events.
The first previews, obviously, will emerge thanks to 28 Years Later, the sequel directed by Danny Boyle and written by Alex Garland. Among the performers already announced there are, in addition to Cillian Murphy, also Jodie Comer, Aaron Taylor Johnson, Erin Kellyman, Ralph Fiennes, and Jack O’Connell.
Tom Rothman, head of Sony Motion Pictures Group, recently teased that Murphy’s return as Jim will take place in “a surprising way and one that will evolve and grow“.

Details of the new trilogy
The story will then continue with the second chapter of the trilogy entrusted to Nia DaCosta, former director of Candyman and The Marvels.
The events should finally end with a third chapter which will be made by a director whose identity has not yet been revealed.
The producing team composed of Garland, Boyle and Murphy will be involved in the creation of the entire film project.
Fans will therefore have to wait a little longer before they can have a clear idea of what will happen in the film saga which will return to theaters around the world starting from June 20, 2025.
