The tensions within the Brothers of Italy in view of the vote for the European elections. Accusations of unfairness. And the role of Governor Rocca who is no longer ‘third’
The fire smolders under the ashes of the Brothers of Italy. It’s not three o’clock that makes the temperature hot triplets give the gentlemen preferences on the territory of the province of Frosinone. Which will weigh the values of each one, the ability to mobilize and bring to the polls, having three names written.
Tensions are rising and they concern how we will deal with them triplets. And an unexpected variable until a few weeks ago.
The triplets
The triplets all have the same two names at the beginning: Giorgia Meloni and the outgoing one Nicola Procaccini, former mayor of Terracina. Then the third name varies based on the internal reference area. Marco Squarta (president of the legislative assembly of Umbria) was entrusted as the third name to the provincial coordinator Massimo Ruspandini with the regional councilor Daniele Maurathe Environment Councilor of Ceccano Riccardo Del Brocco and the provincial manager Antonio Cardillo.
Instead the former deputy Carlo Ciccioli of Ancona will be voted on by the MP’s area Paolo Pulcianiby the president of ALeS SpA Fabio Tagliaferriby the regional councilor Alessia Savo. The deputy and former Coldiretti regional president Aldo Mattia will divide his votes between Squarta and Ciccioli.
There the third trio is the one that arrived at a later time, not together with the first two. The fire is burning because we will be counted on. But there are those who are starting to accuse others of small tricks. One above all: reverse the triplet. What does it mean? Instead of telling voters to vote Melons – Procaccini – X they are saying to vote X – Procaccini – Meloni. Why? The region is simple: many vote for the Party symbol and on average only one in three or four writes their preference; half of those who prefer write two names and only a small percentage also write the third name. By reversing the triplet, the third name is immediately written, penalizing the Secretary and the man he wants to confirm in Brussels. But at the count it makes a great impression.
There are those who have already photographed Fac Simile with the single name. And he is preparing to show it if the reversal were to damage the leader.
The other topic of tension is the third triplet. It wasn’t expected. It actually arrived. Because at some point or was asked to Francesco Rocca to give a signal about his weight or he himself wanted to give it; it is not clear which of the two versions is true. It should have gathered consensus in the civic world, from which it comes. And instead the Governor started calling the president of the Province Luca Di Stefano (civic and therefore in range assigned) but also to all the vote bearers present in Ciociaria within Fratelli d’Italia (and this is outside the range). There are mayors and administrators who are embarrassed because they would like to vote in one direction but when faced with the president they feel obliged to vote in the other.
External tensions
Not to mention the tensions that are being triggered outside the Party. The senator Claudio Fazzonecoordinator of the regional coordinators of Forza Italia, told his team that Rocca had been accepted by everyone as a candidate because third, i.e. an area number. But this breaks the balance: he only votes and supports Brothers of Italy.
And this, for the senator, is not good. The calculations will be done later. Starting Monday, once the votes are finished counting for the Europeans.
