Simest, new measure to compensate Tuscan companies affected by floods starting from 18 June – Economy and Finance

(Teleborsa) – SIMEST – the CDP Group company which supports the internationalization of Italian companies – announces that, starting from 18 June at 9:00 am, a new measure will be active for refreshments from 300 million euros intended for businesses Tuscany and neighboring territories damaged byflood last November. The new measure is aimed at granting compensation for income losses due to the total or partial suspension of the activity calculated for a maximum period of six months from the date on which the flood event occurred in the territory where the company is located.

Such new measure it will be accessible on the SIMEST portal starting next year June 18th and will be extended to all exporting companies (with the exception of those operating in the agriculture, forestry and fishing sectors) – with a minimum foreign turnover of 3% – and to all companies with a turnover of at least 10% of the total towards one or more exporting companies.

Each business may submit only one grant application. The disbursement will take place within 10 days following the approval of the request by the Concessions Committee, a body chaired by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation which administers the resources dedicated to the new instrument.
