From Teramo to Cesena to better treat the second degree burns on his arms, legs and face. The 43-year-old who was involved in the explosion of a bungalow inside the Duca Amedeo campsite in Martinsicuro on Saturday evening around 6.30pm remains in serious condition. The man was never in danger of dying. After the explosion, both the Nereto firefighters and the carabinieri from the local station arrived on site for the usual investigations. The videos from the video surveillance cameras show the maintenance worker, an employee of the structure, approaching the wooden house – not currently rented – in which the cleaners had smelled gas. From the footage you can see that as soon as DB opens the door he is hit by the wave of flames. After the explosion it was a colleague of his, of Albanian origins, who put out the flames on his body. He rolled it on the ground until other employees arrived with fire extinguishers. Timeliness was essential to avoid the worst. After the explosion, the 43-year-old was rescued by the Giulianova Red Cross and then airlifted to the Teramo hospital and subsequently to the Major Burns Center in Cesena.
The 43-year-old is well known in Martinsicuro, the city where he has always lived. Married and father of a child, he is a point of reference for those who have been going to camp for years. A good person and always with a ready joke and a smile. Yesterday, when help arrived, he spoke and reported what happened despite the pain.

The Duca Amedeo campsite operates regularly. The explosion, in fact, affected an empty bungalow where there was no one, without affecting any other building or structure.
