An accident at the Rosignano toll booth on the Rome-Genoa motorway led to the death of three people and the closure of a section of the A12. From the first information on the dynamics of the accident it seems that a car, arriving at very high speed, crashed into two other cars in the queue and caused a carambola causing them to overturn. The rear-ended vehicles literally overwhelmed and destroyed the toll booth. Il Tirreno reports that the motorist who caused the accident may have felt ill and therefore may have inadvertently pressed on the accelerator when arriving at the toll booth not at low speed, as is normal, but rather running. This would explain the very violent impact on the other cars and on the motorway gate. Among others, they are also involved in the accident two children aged three and six.
