Friuli Venezia Giulia also celebrated the 78th anniversary of the Foundation of the Italian Republic. The ceremonies of the four capitals and at the Redipuglia Shrine, where the gold medal for military valor, the partisan Paola Del Din, spoke.

Day of celebrations also throughout Friuli Venezia Giulia for the foundation of the Italian Republic. The celebrations for the 78th anniversary of the referendum vote of 2 June 1946 began this morning at 9am with the flag-raising ceremony held simultaneously throughout the Region. The main ceremony was held in the Redipuglia shrine, where the government was represented by the minister for relations with Parliament Luca Ciriani. “We must defend what has been conquered – said Ciriani -, our freedom, our values. We will achieve this goal if we are one community of purpose. We must all row in the same direction,” he concluded. The partisan Paola Del Din, gold medal for military valor, also spoke at the Shrine. During the ceremony, some law enforcement officials suffered minor illnesses due to the heat. Friuli Venezia Giulia was also present in Rome, where the Frecce Tricolori flew over the Altare della Patria and closed the traditional parade along the Imperial Forums.
In the regional capital, the Prefect of Trieste Pietro Signorello reviewed the military departments, which marched together with the Fire Brigade, local police, civil protection and 118. A concert is scheduled for 9pm in Piazza Verdi organized by the Tartini Conservatory.
A low-key celebration in Udine, where thoughts turned to the three boys overwhelmed by the Natisone flood on Friday. During the morning, Prefect Domenico Lione presented the diplomas to the citizens, awarded by President Sergio Mattarella, with the honorary distinctions of knight, officer and commander of the Order of the Italian Republic.
The Government was also present at the celebrations in Pordenone, represented by the Undersecretary for the Ecological Transition Vannia Gava. Finally, in Gorizia, the celebrations began at 8am, with the flag raising in the presence of the Prefect Raffaele Ricciardi.
