A long speech, a political intervention which claims “the public interest in all our choices” and the certainty “that the majority of Ligurians understand and appreciate the path taken and the results achieved by our government”. These are some of the excerpts from the letter that Giovanni Toti, under house arrest since May 7, delivered to councilor Giacomo Giampedrone yesterday during the meeting authorized by the Genoa prosecutor’s office. The letter will be read next Tuesday in the Regional Council by the group leader of the Toti List Alessandro Bozzano.
At the moment there is no intention of resigning
President Toti said Giampedrone “spends his days studying and writing. He reads everything and keeps the articles that may be useful for his defense in a transparent folder”. Giampedrone spoke for over four hours with Toti. “He is very calm and motivated, he has studied the papers for a long time and would like to resume his work serving the Ligurians as soon as possible. In fact, at the moment he has no intention of resigning and is waiting to return to his role to make all the comparisons with the majority and there decide the path to continue together or make other types of assessments, which in any case are directly up to him.
