Fighting fires, the enemies of fire are preparing their weapons to fight against the danger that, again this summer, the Sardinian territory will be attacked by flames: having filled a portable tank with 42 thousand liters of water, in the event of a fire it will be used to supply the rotary wing aircraft. An incessant work in order to protect the territory from the assault of those who, as the news has unfortunately widely reported, especially in summer, carelessly or voluntarily, trigger the flames that devour fauna and flora. A war bulletin that calls hundreds of operators to work who tirelessly do their utmost to contain the damage. This is how yesterday the volunteers of Nos Quartu Sant’Elena – Civil Protection were busy with 2 forest fire-fighting tankers, for the water supply of a 42 thousand liter portable tank, purchased and installed by the Avpc S. Andrea Frius association, and which will allow rotary-wing aircraft to be able to stock up on water in the event of a fire in the prized wooded area of S. Andrea Frius.
“The installation and implementation of this tank is of fundamental importance in the prevention and fight against forest fires and the protection of our territory” explained the association. Obviously the hope is what ever is needed, that the vegetation is not affected by the cruel hand of man but, otherwise, it is best not to be caught unprepared: this is also an essential way to demonstrate the great value that true beings humans show towards their land.
