FERMO – This morning, at 1030, in the mayor’s office in Piazza del Popolo we talk about how to overcome traumas thanks to the book “The Flash Technique: making the most overwhelming traumatic memories more accessible and reprocessing” edited by Dr. Massimo Amabili and Dr. Alessandro Di Domenico.

A meeting sponsored by the Municipality of Fermo and the Marche Order of Psychologists, to explore and learn about a new innovative method that is becoming an effective therapeutic work tool.

“ The Flash Technique it is a technique defined as refined and gentle, a painless and effective passepartout at the same time, for the resolution of psychological trauma defined as any event that has the ability to interrupt the fluidity of a person’s normal life by confronting them with their own fragility and vulnerability. – explains Dr. Alessia Ciccola, psychologist and psychotherapist who participated in the drafting of the text – We are talking about events such as bereavement, separation, illness and many others. In the book we presented the technique by telling people’s stories, providing many working examples of possible integrations in psychotherapy, with an eye towards the infinite possibilities of help that this technique offers for children and adolescents”.

The Flash Technique was born as a technique developed by Dr. Philip Manfield, which is of extraordinary and refined usefulness in the treatment of overwhelming trauma, i.e. a trauma where the disturbing charge of the traumatic events and the emotional content linked to the interruption experienced are so high and overwhelming enough to prevent therapeutic work.

The Flash Technique is effective in these situations, allowing full processing of traumatic memories and restoring people’s natural vital flow. In addition to the authors of the book, Dr. Massimo Amabili and Dr. Alessandro Di Domenico, Dr. Patrizio Cardinali, head of the Neurology Unit of Fermo, Dr. Patrizio Cardinali, will also speak. Katia Marilungo, president of the Order of Psychologists of the Marche Region and the mayor Paolo Calcinaro. The meeting will be moderated by Dr. Alessia Ciccola.
