COURSE VENUE MUNICIPALITY COUNCIL CHAMBER PIAZZA MUNICIPIO, 1 CASTELFORTE
PERIOD FROM 8 TO 18 OCTOBER 2024 – MINIMUM DURATION OF THE COURSE – 35 HOURS

“The Municipality of Castelforte – says the Mayor Angelo Felice Pompeo – has granted its patronage to the Course which represents a special occasion for everyone as it offers an opportunity to enter with greater awareness into a fascinating world and get to know one of our products of excellence: extra virgin olive oil. The Course is undoubtedly also the result of an intense commitment – concludes the Mayor – which we have supported through our Institutional Internal and External Relations Service and which has fully inserted our Municipality into a virtuous circuit in the world of Green Gold through both the CAPOL that the National Association of Oil Cities which is making our DOP oil known in national circuits while also expanding the tourist attractiveness of our territory”.

In the meantime, here is some necessary information.

CERTIFIED
Certificate of physiological suitability for olive oil tasting. It constitutes the first of two levels of a path that leads to registration in the national list of technicians and experts in virgin and extra virgin olive oils, kept by the Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry. The tasters registered in the list are authorized to be part of the tasting panels which, according to the law and a recent ruling by the Council of State, are the only bodies responsible for the product classification of olive oil as extra virgin, virgin or lampante .
PURPOSE
Train professional figures for the organoleptic evaluation of virgin and extra virgin olive oils.
PARTICIPANTS
Everyone can participate.
Producers, oil millers, agri-food and catering workers, students and consumers.

The Course for Oil Tasters was designed to achieve physiological suitability for tasting pursuant to Regulation (EU) NN 2014/2022 and 20105/2022, of the MASAF Decree Ministry of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry of 07/10/2021. Course recognized by the Lazio Region pursuant to the MASAF Decree of 7/10/2021, Regulations (EU) NN 2014/2022 and 2015/2022 and COI (International Olive Council) regulations
