Bollate, Microcar on fire in Cascina del Sole due to a battery short circuit.
A few hours after the scooter battery explosion occurred in Ospiate (article here), another fire broke out in the city, this time in Cascina del Sole, and the probable cause appears to be electrical in this case too.
It happened around 3 in the morning: a quadricycle microcar, the kind that can be driven even without a license, was parked in a courtyard at number 6 of Via Monte Grappa, when flames suddenly broke out from the vehicle.

As soon as they noticed, the residents got out and, using fire extinguishers, tried to keep the flames under control to prevent the fire from attacking any other cars, then also helped by the Bollate Carabinieri who rushed to the scene. Then the Garbagnate firefighters arrived and quickly put out the flames, but only the skeleton remained of the vehicle. A car parked nearby was damaged. Official news from the fire brigade is awaited on the causes of the fire, but from initial information it seems that the fire is accidental, caused by a short circuit linked to the battery.
