VM, asked for a meeting with the government

Stellantis (especially with regards to Maserati and VM) returns to the center of the political agenda. The Region announced yesterday that it had asked the Government for an urgent meeting for the Cento and Modena plants as, in Emilia-Romagna, these are the two former Fiat and former FCA automotive production companies involved in the group’s crisis.

“An urgent meeting of the Stellantis regional table to address the crisis of the Emilia-Romagna Maserati plants in Modena and Vm in Cento – writes the Region in a note issued in the afternoon –. The request to activate a regional table in Rome on the Stellantis Group is was sent today (yesterday for the reader, ed.) by the regional department for Economic Development and Labor to the Minister of Business and Made in Italy, Adolfo Urso (photo)”.

The Region therefore makes it known that the request for the Emilia-Romagna factories is part of the initiative underway at the Ministry of Business and Made in Italy for the analysis and prospects of the Stellantis factories in Italy. The minister, the technical offices of the ministry itself, the representatives of the Stellantis Group, the Regions involved, Anfia (National Association of the Italian Automotive Supply Chain) and the trade unions are involved at the ministerial table.

The regional table’s request also comes after the one put forward by the unions themselves months ago, who have long been asking for clarity on the future of VM’s activity in Cento.
