After many disappointments, Charles Leclerc manages to win his home grand prix in Monte Carlo where until now he had only achieved retirements or placings below the podium. Total domination for the Ferrari driver who preceded Piastri and Sainz. World champion Verstappen was only sixth.

The joy for Charles Leclerc is indescribable as he manages to win the Monaco Grand Prix, his home one, the same one that over the years had reserved him so much disappointment such as, for example, the failure to start in 2021 due to mechanical problems after pole position . And from pole, Leclerc started again this time but with a much better chance of winning because Ferrari was one step ahead of the others, of McLaren but above all of Max Verstappen, in the shade both in qualifying and in the race, finishing sixth on both occasions.

Leclerc got off to a great start, maintaining first position, then was forced to repeat everything due to the terrible crash caused by Magnussen which knocked out Perez and also Hulkenberg’s other Haas. Piastri tried, but overtaking in Monaco is impossible and Leclerc took home the sixth victory of his career, the first of the season; second position for Piastri, third for Sainz ahead of Norris, Russell, Verstappen and Hamilton. World points also for Tsunoda, Albon (the first for Williams in 2024) and Gasly, while Aston Martin and Sauber remain empty-handed.

REPORT: 1. Leclerc (Ferrari); 2. Plates (McLaren); 3. Sainz (Ferrari); 4. Norris (McLaren); 5. Russell (Mercedes); 6. Verstappen (Red Bull); 7. Hamilton (Mercedes); 8. Tsunoda (Racing Bulls); 9. Albon (Williams); 10. Gasly (Alpine).

CLASSIFICATION: 1. Verstappen 169; 2. Leclerc 138; 3 Norris 113.
