The Galaxy F55 is officially ready to launch tomorrow (27 May 2024) via Samsung India (27 May 2024) via Samsung India as the OEM’s latest Android mid-range smartphone for the country. Some leaked materials obtained by tipster Abhishek Yadav hint that it could do so for just INR 26,999 (~$325) with an entry-level RAM/storage profile, or INR 29,999 (~$361) as an 8GB/256GB smartphone.

This price might seem reasonable… until you consider that the Realme GT 6T will be released 2 days later (on May 29) at around the same price for the same internal specs.

Both smartphones have aMOLED 120Hz display, USB-C 2.0 ports and also 50MP OIS main – however, the new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC is currently exclusive to the 6T (in India), while the F55 model lags behind with the 7 Gen 1 SoC.

Its Realme also boasts an industry-first (if a little bizarre) 6,000 nits of maximum brightness – not to mention a larger 5,500mAh with a larger 5,500mAh 120W battery that blows the battery away from 5,000mAh/45W F55 out of the water – although the latter matches Samsung’s top-end Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra.

Additionally, the GT 6T offers an upgraded Bluetooth 5.4 system while the F55 stops at the standard Level 2 5.2. As a result, if this new leak is confirmed, it’s possible that the Realme could be the most affordable.

On the other hand, it seems that Samsung may be hoping that the Galaxy F55 will be able to undercut its starting price, according to rumors, thanks to its vegan skin.”Crafted by Masters” in black or apricot, as opposed to the fluid silver or razor green glass of the 6T GT.

Furthermore, Samsung may advertise its new smartphone with extended software support, an offer that Realme may not be able to maintain in the long run.
