Genoa, two strong explosions heard in Valbisagno

Genoa – Two strong explosions shook the windows and frightened the residents of the Struppa area around 11pm. The first was also felt in the Marassi Alta and Quezzi areas and the second, around 11.30pm, woke up the residents of the Valbisagno.
Concerned messages from dozens of people immediately appeared on social media who asked for explanations and called the police and fire brigade without being able to understand what happened.
A first strong explosion made many think of a “paper bomb” but the noise and size of the area in which it was felt, from Struppa to Quezzi, would rule out this hypothesis.
A second explosion, even stronger than the first, awakened people in half the city.
Particularly angry were the owners of dogs and other animals who saw their 4-legged friends “going crazy” with fear.
On social media there is talk of strong explosions – there are those who heard as many as five of them “in sequence” in the “Cava” area above the Camaldoli and in an area that could actually spread the noise in different directions and be heard both in Valbisagno than to the east.
The quarry under Fort Ratti is sometimes used to detonate bombs to be defused but at the moment there is no confirmation and usually this type of operation is announced to the population precisely to avoid worry.
