Beyond 884 million of Gross Domestic Product, more than 14 thousand and 800 jobs and about 395 million in income distributed to workers employed in the local economic system.

These are the numbers relating toCenter Area (which in addition to Lazio also includes Abruzzo, Molise and Sardinia) generated positive direct and indirect impacts in 2023. Growing numbers compared to the previous year which confirm the company’s ability to generate value for local communities and for the entire production system of the area.

In particular, the activity carried out in the Lazio Region, in addition to generating direct returns strictly linked to the economic activity of the Group, also requires the purchase of goods and services produced by other companies (generating indirect impacts) and allows families who have received income thanks to the work carried out for the Company and its suppliers, to purchase new goods and services (generating induced impacts).

There will also be numerous energy, structural and safety efficiency measures implemented by the Company in Lazio during 2023, for which it uses not only national suppliers but also companies based in the regional territory.

The numbers analyzed in the 2023 integrated budget are the result of the estimate of the overall economic impacts generated by the company in each individual territory, highlighting how thanks to the work of its 120 thousand employees it manages to create economic value, producing wealth and employment not only through its business but also through the involvement of a local supply chain.

Poste Italiane’s commitment to serving the country is part of a path of growth and development which since 2018 has generated overall impacts on the country of around 76 billion euros in gross domestic product, 44 billion euros in income from work, 13 billion euros in tax revenue, also contributing on average to the creation of 187 thousand jobs per year between 2018 and 2023.
