A burnt car, an injured person and two men on the run. These are the elements of a mystery that has been hovering over Zibido San Giacomo since Monday evening. A mystery that the police hope to unravel as soon as possible. The mystery revolves around an accident between two cars that occurred late Monday afternoon on the via Longarone overpass that leads to Rozzano.
The crash and the fire
After the crash, one of the vehicles involved caught fire, the driver of the other was injured. The causes that caused the collision are still unknown, perhaps the high speed of the burning car. The two men who occupied it, instead of helping the injured man, fled on foot into the fields surrounding the businesses in the area. Once the alarm was raised, the firefighters, an ambulance, a medical vehicle and the police attended the scene. The first ones worked for a long time to put out the flames, worried that there might be someone on board. Volunteers from the second assisted the third man involved. Law enforcement officials have started investigations.
The stolen car
Local police confirmed this morning that the burned car was found to have been stolen in recent days. Meanwhile, the police are recovering surveillance videos from the numerous companies located in the area. Investigators are trying to reconstruct the route he took before the crash. The objective is to recover a few frames that allow the two fugitives to be identified.
