THEThe Civic Museum of Foggia has joined the European Night of Museums, scheduled for tomorrow Saturday 18 May. An initiative celebrating its twentieth edition, promoted by the French Ministry of Culture with the patronage of the Council of Europe, UNESCO and ICOM with the aim of encouraging and promoting knowledge of the territory and specific identity both national and European.
Tomorrow, therefore, the Museum will be open not only in the morning from 8am to 2pm, but also for three hours in the evening, from 8pm to 11pm, at the symbolic price of 1 euro (the cost of the regular entrance ticket is currently 5 €). “An opportunity to learn more about a cultural container that is the custodian of our history and our traditions, aimed in particular at young people, students, families on an evening in which the historic center is frequented out of habit. The hope is that it will be grasped in its essence and that the experience can fuel further, growing stimuli to increase personal and collective baggage, and contribute to a new awareness of how precious and fundamental the past is for projecting oneself into the future” the words of Alice Amatore, Councilor for Culture of the Municipality of Foggia.
