Chris Pratt published a touching message on Instagram dedicated to his former stuntman Tony McFarr, who passed away on Monday in Florida at just 47 years old. “I am devastated to learn of the loss of my friend and former stuntman. We made several films together. We played golf, drank whiskey, smoked cigars and spent countless hours on set. I will never forget your tenacity. I remember when he took a bad blow to the head in the opening sequence of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and he had some stitches put in his head. He went straight back to work, ready to continue. He was always a gentleman and a professional. recalled Pratt, who in recent days has provided a preview of the Nintendo Cinematic Universe.

“We will miss him. I pray for his friends and family, especially his daughter” the actor concluded the message, posting it in Instagram stories.
Tony McFarr was Pratt’s stunt double in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 and in two films of the Jurassic World saga, as well as having performed the stunts for the actor’s character in the film Passengers, released in theaters in 2016.
