“These are dramatic hours for Veneto, hit by intense rains and floods“: this is what the governor said Luca Zaia referring to the situation in the region, plagued by bad weather. The Civil Protection of Veneto has issued ared weather alertvalid until 2pm today in much of the regional territory with a new phase of widespread precipitation moving towards the North/East.
The critical issues in Castelfranco Veneto are serious in the Treviso area, where the Avenale and Muson streams flooded. The bad weather should provide a respite in Vicenza, while the border area of Portogruaro in the Venetian area will be especially affected, where widespread flooding was already recorded yesterday. The railway lines between Vicenza and Schio, Padua and Treviso are still interrupted. River levels are under close observation.
