While we wait for OnePlus to release its OnePlus 13, arriving at the end of 2024 and which promises to be a real revolution for the Chinese company, the time has come to understand what is the most powerful OnePlus smartphone out there. The result of the comparison between the company’s devices gives us a clear winner!
GO TO THE PRODUCT ON AMAZON NOWWe are obviously talking about OnePlus 12, the latest OnePlus flagship to have arrived on the market. As you can read in our OnePlus 12 review, the smartphone is equipped with a latest generation SoC, the Snapdragon 8 Gen3, which boasts an Adreno 750 GPU and a CPU composed of a Cortex-4 Core at 3.30 GHz, five Cores Cortex-A720 at 3.20 GHz and two Cortex-A520 cores at 2.30 GHz. These are one of the most powerful chips on the marketwhich also far surpasses the OnePlus Fold’s Snapdragon 8 Gen2, the foldable that competes with the OnePlus 12 for the title of the company’s most powerful smartphone.
Coming to the other specifications of the smartphone, OnePlus 12 has 16GB of RAM and a 512 GB memory, unfortunately not the top of the top in its category. The AMOLED LTPO display measures 6.82″ diagonally and has a resolution of 1,440 x 3,168 pixels, with a pixel density of 510 ppi. The refresh rate reaches up to 120 Hz, while to protect the screen we have a Gorilla Glass Victus 2which until a few months ago represented the state of the art in the sector, only to be replaced by the Gorilla Armor from Corning and Samsung, currently implemented only on the Samsung Galaxy S24.
In the end, The OnePlus 12 also excels in cameras. We are in fact talking about a smartphone with a rear system triple-room equipped with a 50 MP Sony LYT-808 main sensor, 1/1.4″ in size, with 1.12µm pixels and an aperture of f/1.6. The ultra-wide angle, however, is a 48 MP Sony IMX581 and 1/2″, with 0.8µm pixels, f/2.2 aperture and FOV equal to 114°. Finally, the third lens is a periscope telephoto lens 64 MP OmniVision OV64B with 3x optical and 6x digital zoom. How much does such a device cost? Not too much: its price fluctuates between 800 and 900 Euros on Amazon, much less than the main competitors!
