Thiago Motta-Juve, Bologna takes a stand: “We will respect his will”

Bologna must deal with the possible farewells of Thiago Motta and Zirzkee: sporting director Marco Di Vaio takes a stand

It’s party time, with the qualification in Champions to be properly celebrated. The Bologna he went beyond the most optimistic predictions and now he can rejoice with the rossoblù people.

Rejoice but also plan because this position can only be a starting point for an ambitious project which could however lose two protagonists. Thiago Motta And Zirkzee, in fact, they could have reached the last two matches wearing the Bologna shirt. For the Italian-Brazilian coach there is the Juventus who has been waiting for it for months now, even if Emilia Romagna have not yet completely lost hope of confirming it, despite the knowledge that it will be difficult.

The rossoblù sporting director Marco Di Vaio he spoke to ‘Radio24’ about the coach: “We will do everything to keep him, our will is very clear. We look forward to sitting at the table with him. There are important arguments to put forward to continue with Bologna, but we will respect his wishes.”

Di Vaio then wanted to thank the coach: “First of all I would like to thank Motta for what he did for Bologna. For his seriousness, for his work group: he has improved, he has changed the way he plays.”

Finally, he focused on Zirkzee, although not addressing the future topic: “He can become a striker with many goals because from a technical point of view he is complete. Hunger comes with eating: he likes to play a good game, but now he has understood that bad goals must also be scored: sometimes he left the pitch angry.”
