Will be the autopsywhich will be carried out in the next few days, to clarify the causes and circumstances of the death of Peppe Octavianthe 40-year-old found dead yesterday in his home in the historic center of Scicli in the Ragusa area. It was some family members who gave the alarm: upon entering the house they found the man’s body lying on the floor in the bedroom and with wounds to the facewhich however could also be compatible with those of a fall.
They would also be found traces of blood in other rooms and on the walls. For this reason the investigators do not rule out the possibility homocide. But at the moment all the hypothesis remain open and the results of the autopsy examination are awaited to have the first answers, also relating to thetime of deathwhich would still have occurred between Saturday and Sunday.
Born in 1984, Ottaviano belonged to a wealthy family from Scicli and was well known in the municipality. Even the mayor Mario Marino, yesterday he spoke on the matter, stating that “the leaders of the investigating forces expressed their concern and attention for the case which has greatly disturbed the Sciclitan community and beyond, expressing maximum confidence in the work of the Carabinieri and the Judiciary”.

During yesterday the Carabinieri of Res of Messina they spent hours looking for useful elements to reconstruct the dynamics of what happened. According to the testimonies of some neighbors, the 40-year-old apparently parked his green Audi Q3 Sportback on Saturday night and never left the house again. On Sunday evening some relatives who were unable to contact him had turned to the police. At the moment the man’s body is located in the mortuary of theModica hospital where we are awaiting approval for the autopsy and the related toxicological tests.
