The karateka Mattia Devicienti11 years old Bientinawon the “1st International Championship Karate for Kids” in Ferrara, an important contest where companies from different parts of the world participated.

Mattia won the gold medal again in the -50 kilo category of the Ferrara competition by winning the final with a clear 5-0 and for him, this was the last significant competition for this season while waiting to prepare for the 2024 IKU world championship scheduled in Buenos Aires from 26 to 31 October. After the summer holidays, in which he will dedicate part of his time to training, Mattia will begin the preparation process for the world championship where he will be ccalled to fight to maintain the “For Children” world title he holds, won in October 2022.

The satisfaction of his team, the Asd Team Karate Nava of Castelfranco di Sotto, for which several athletes participated in Ferrara, was extensive: in addition to Devicienti’s gold, Luca Mastromarino placed third overall, Olga Giuntini who placed first in the female category, where Giulia Caffaro he finished in second place.
