Walking among the geological landscapes of Puglia – Pugliapress

Walking among the geological landscapes of Puglia: in its fifteenth edition curated by the Order of Geologists of Puglia and by SIGEA – APS.

Walking through the geological landscapes of Puglia is a photographic event that promotes the knowledge and valorisation of Apulian geological sites. Curated by the Order of Geologists of Puglia and the Italian Society of Environmental Geology (SIGEA – APS), this initiative aims to highlight the hidden wonders of our region. The fifteenth edition, just launched, promises to be full of news and unique opportunities for photography and geology enthusiasts.

A unique opportunity to explore the geological treasures of Puglia

Walking through the geological landscapes of Puglia offers participants the opportunity to capture the beauty of unique places such as the Grotta del Trullo, a natural wonder that has nothing to envy of the traditional trulli of Alberobello. It is not just an event, but a journey through the wonders of our region, an invitation to discover and enhance our geological heritage.

The words of Antonello Fiore, National President of the Italian Society of Environmental Geology, underline the importance of this event: “We aim to enhance landscapes. Last year wonderful, unique places were photographed, I’m thinking of the Grotta del Trullo which is not the traditional Trullo of Alberobello but is a natural cave with an interesting geological formation. We can take the press to places with unique landscapes, to see the protagonist landscapes of previous editions.”

Walking through the geological landscapes of Puglia is not just an event, but an opportunity to contribute to the valorization of our natural heritage. As Giovanna Amedei, President of the Order of Geologists of Puglia, declared, “the objective of the initiative is to promote the diffusion of a positive model of knowledge, where each province tells, with its own geodiversity, its geological evolution.”
