Another tragedy on the roads of Abruzzo. A 51-year-old man died on Saturday afternoon from serious injuries sustained in the road accident which occurred along the so-called Sangro valley road 652 in the municipality of Bomba (Chieti).
The victim is Pier Donato Di Fulvio, pharmacist from Archi (Chieti). The 51-year-old was driving his Triumph 600 motorbike and was returning home when, for reasons under investigation by the police who intervened, near a curve he lost control of the vehicle and slipped on the asphalt. While the motorbike continued its journey for about 50 metres, the man, who was wearing a helmet, ended up violently against the guardrail.
The drivers of two cars that arrived immediately afterwards stopped to help him and immediately called 118, but unfortunately there was nothing that could be done for the 51-year-old. The impact was very violent and left him no escape.
The Carabinieri of Castiglione Messer Marino and Villa Santa Maria have been working since yesterday to reconstruct the dynamics of the accident, perhaps due to high speed or illness, coordinated by Captain Alfonso Venturi of the Atessa Company.
