Second weekend with Sapori Pro loco at Villa Manin

The second weekend of “Sapori Pro Loco – Tipicità Gusto Tradizioni” is underway, the great event now in its 21st edition and which, as always, allows you to taste the typical food and wine specialties of Friuli Venezia Giulia at Villa Manin in Passariano in the municipality of Codroipo . Appointment among the exedras of the doge complex on 24-25-26 May.

There are 23 Pro Loco from the regional territory (this second weekend also includes the one from Pravisdomini with Frico’s Lollipop, wood-fired skewer and quince tart) who will offer over 60 dishes, plus regional wines and beers within a rich program of events collateral for a total of over 40 appointments (complete calendar on www.saporiproloco.it).

Furthermore, there is the novelty of this 2024 edition, in the Piazza Tonda of Villa Manin: the promotional stand of PromoTurismoFVG, or the Io sono Friuli Venezia Giulia area which is a space for valorising regional excellences, with also the possibility of tasting some products interacting with the Sapori Pro Loco public. Furthermore, many guided tastings of wines, beers and other local products with free entry by booking on the event website.

Among the events of these days at the Io sono FVG area worth mentioning is Sunday 26 May at 6pm “Corso Trieste”, presentation of the book – written together with his brother Fabio – by Tommaso Zanello known to all as Er Piotta: the Roman rapper, like the surname denotes, has Friulian origins. In the exceptional event to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Integrated Culture Project of Middle Friuli, he will discuss Rome and Friuli with Gabriella Cecotti.

And also markets, events for families, guided tours, concerts and for sport the possibility of trying softball in view of the World Cup which will take place in Friuli Venezia Giulia this summer.
