UPDATE. Collapse at the Campania Shopping Center, comes the official note from the structure in the Aurno area of Marcianise, inaugurated in September 2007. It all happened in the part of the tunnel close to Piazza Campania between the La Scimmietta ice cream shop and the Farinella restaurant, not far away from the bathrooms.
“A part of the false ceiling of one of the corridors of the Campania Shopping Center collapsed yesterday evening, shortly after 10 pm. The collapse of the structure, in the Piazza Campania area, was caused by a tendon which came loose in a corner, causing in a few minutes the falling of the false ceiling panels.
The firefighting personnel of the Campania Center immediately noticed the first crack and promptly fenced off the area, avoiding possible damage to people and animals. No injuries were reported. The firefighters and the Carabinieri intervened on site to investigate the case.”
In short, major problems were prevented, thanks to the promptness of the staff, even the collapse did not have an impact, but the material came down almost gradually. Supervision also supported the team’s work.

The collapse occurred near the shopping center square, causing building material and various systems to fall to the ground. Fortunately, the accident did not cause any injuries as it occurred almost at closing time, when the structure was now empty, in practice no one could come from the south side, so in that part at most you could only go to the bathroom .
The alert was launched by security personnel who, having heard suspicious noises, had already cordoned off the area.
At the moment, the Fire Brigade is working to remove the dangerous rubble and make the area safe.
