The Sambiase concludes with a bang a triumphal season which saw him deservedly conquer, breaking record after record, promotion to Serie D: it does so by winning the Region Super Cup, in the triangular match with Ardore and Rossanese, the winners of groups A and B of the Promotion.
After the 0-0 draw between the two winners of the Promotion groups (match then won on penalties by Ardore), here are the hosts (the triangular tournament was played at the “Gianni Renda”) make their debut in the competition. Everything was easy for the Giallorossi in the first match against Rossanese: after 12 minutes, in fact, the score already read 3-0 (the final result at the end of the scheduled 45 minutes), the result of goals from Abayian (a brace) and Espinar. Less obvious, however, is the second match against Ardore which the Giallorossi broke the deadlock only after 34 minutes (Captain Crucitti’s goal), and then closed it to the final 2-0 in the third and final minute of injury time (header from Djalo).
On the occasion, in the presence of the leaders of the LND Calabria, president Saverio Mirarchi obviously included, in addition to the Super Cup award ceremony, trophies were awarded for the victories in the 3 championships. Therefore, double trophy raised to the sky by Captain Crucitti to the joy of the many Giallorossi fans present who, at the end of the awards ceremony, flocked to Piazza 5 Dicembre for the grand party organized by Sambiase.
