The athlete from Cervia Matteo Galassi, Circolo della Spada Cervia – Milano Marittima, Carabinieri Sports Group returns from Riyadh with the GOLD medal, from the “Under 20” individual and team World Championships in the Youth Category, a very good seventh place in the individual and after two days he confirmed himself as world team champion, precisely on 17 April 2024, with the role of closing shooter, after a succession of increasingly progressive and exhilarating attacks, he brought home this wonderful result together with his team mates. team: Del Contrasto Nicoló, Mastromarino Fabio, Rizzi Jacopo, national team mates.
Subsequently in April the Italian “Under 23” Championships were held on Friday 26th the men’s sword competition, a very long competition where we return from Calabria with a good 11th place out of 155 Italian Under 23 shooters, Matteo still eighteen years old in force for the next challenges that await them, i.e. for the respective Italian “Under 20” Championships in Genoa at the end of May and the Absolute Italian Championships in early June in Cagliari.
