Marcello Lorrai, historic author and host of the radio program “Jazz Anthology” broadcast on Radio Popolare, will be the exceptional speaker who will accompany us on the journey of the absolutely extraordinary life of one of the most intense and most loved artists in the world of music, in detail of jazz: Billie Holiday.
A scathing and powerful voice, capable of moving to the core; a painful and turbulent life lived in the name of a fighting and determined spirit; a woman of exceptional talent who was not afraid to use her notoriety to denounce the condition of African Americans in the United States in the first half of the twentieth century.
Lorrai is a journalist and one of the most important Italian experts on jazz music, as well as the author of numerous publications including “Cuba”, an extraordinary musical guide to the Caribbean island.
